WomenX Biotech has partnered with Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) to launch the 10-day or 4-day Tech for Impact: STEM Entrepreneurial Stewardship Program, designed for students aged 15 and above, providing professional training in biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and social innovation thinking.

Through conducting experiments at Science Park, designing feminine hygiene products, assembling feminine hygiene product vending machines, and learning problem-solving skills and creativity with various entrepreneurs, students will not only master STEM knowledge but also focus on product safety testing and how to solve societal needs through knowledge.

What are the features of the Tech for Impact program?

1. Hands-on experience with current Hong Kong innovation and technology projects
Students will participate in the complete development process from concept to product, focusing on menstrual health issues, including laboratory bacterial testing, product design, and IoT system assembly and application for vending machines, allowing students to truly learn through practice.

2. Cross-disciplinary STEM integrated learning
Combining biotechnology, artificial intelligence, product design, and social innovation, to cultivate students' ability to solve real social problems with technology.

3. Cultivate entrepreneurial thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Through entrepreneurial training and teamwork, students not only learn technology but also experience leadership, project management, and how to create social impact. 

Who is the Tech for Impact program for?

This program is suitable for students aged 15 or above who are interested in STEM, social innovation, entrepreneurship, and gender health equality issues, and who wish to create positive social impact through technology.

Tech for Impact offers:

Students will participate in the complete development process from concept to product, including laboratory bacterial testing, hygiene product design, and IoT system assembly and application for feminine hygiene product vending machines.

The feminine hygiene product vending machine personally designed by students will be installed in schools, and the long-term impact of the program will be fully assessed through actual usage data, transforming students' work into real social enterprise cases and measuring the social value and welfare outcomes it brings.

We will provide an additional 1,000 free feminine hygiene products to schools as encouragement for students' efforts.

Students who complete the course will receive a personal letter of recommendation handwritten by Dr. Pui-Wah Choi, founder of WomenX Biotech, and a certificate co-issued by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP).

2. 4-day Tech for Impact Experiential Camp Click here for details

Students will conduct experiments at Science Park and learn about the operations of current technology companies, as well as learn problem-solving skills from entrepreneurs. Students will master STEM knowledge, with a focus on product safety testing and how to solve societal needs through knowledge.

Students who complete the program will receive a certificate co-issued by WomenX Biotech and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP).

Tech for Impact Programs and Fees:
